After purchasing my first home from the owner of a competing local landscaping company (go figure), we quickly realized the home and property had severe flooding issues that the owner withheld knowledge of. The basement of the old home flooded every rain during the summer/fall of 2020, and the yard was so poorly graded it actually made the septic drain field back up into the septic tank! As a self-proclaimed handyman, I figured I could solve the basement flooding on my own but I needed a group to help break concrete and dig out the basement to install a interior french drain, similar to a “waterproofer” company. I received three quotes from waterproofing companies, $7200, $7500, and $9500 (this was the only local company!!). I’m not sure if I got lucky, but Garner Exteriors came with a crew of four guys, in two days, and cut the concrete, dug the trench, assisted in dropping in the drain tile, dumping gravel and then adding back the concrete! The work was absolutely fantastic and for less than half the cheapest alternative! The employees were extremely confident that someone like me (who overanalyzes everything) felt safe leaving the job to them! My basement has been so dry that the dehumidifier does not come on anymore. I’m not sure if this was a one-off job for Garner Exteriors but it is a testament to their quality and reputation! After that, I had Garner Exteriors come back out to assist in the drainage of my yard. For a extremely fair cost (4 guys, two days, plus materials) they placed a 240’ French drain through my yard and graded the yard away from the drain field. They spent nearly half a day with a bubble level grading the yard so precisely to prevent any puddles, I was amazed. The yard is currently seeded, but the grade looks fantastic. I can’t stress enough for Garner Exterior’s knowledge and expertise in landscaping, truly the best around!
Garner Exteriors gave our backyard a complete makeover. I love looking outside every morning and seeing the gorgeous view and a place for my kids to play. Their employees worked nonstop to get the job done. The picture shows above what it looked like before, and the picture below shows after.
We had Garner Exteriors install a patio a while back. They're very friendly and we were happy with the results. We just did a small project and were able to buy the just the pavers from them. Excellent customer service as always.
