Landscaping

Garner Exteriors’ team uses their vast plant knowledge to install the appropriate landscape plantings based on any site conditions. Whether you need deer resistant or drought resistant, full sun or full shade, we can design gardens to suit your every need. From shrubs, trees, perennials, annuals and different varieties of native species, we can install your landscape so it is functional and enjoyable. We also have experience working within the critical areas of the Chesapeake Bay and are familiar with the permitting process in multiple counties. In recent years, we have seen a huge increase in the demand for drainage solutions and have been on the forefront of installing drainage systems to solve all types of water problems on the exterior of homes. We have also joined the ‘going green’ movement and worked with property owners to build rain gardens, live roofs and more.

Grounds Maintenance

Garner Exterior’s is your one stop shop for all grounds maintenance services for commercial and residential properties. We offer pesticide and insecticide applications, turf fertilizer and/or weed applications (organic applications also available), preventative grub treatments, ornamental fertilizers, edging of flower beds, spring, and fall mulching with pre-emergent, and tree and shrub IPM (Integrated Pest Management). Our crews also perform soil tests, core aeration and overseeding, lime applications, spring and fall seasonal flower displays, shrub pruning and shaping, mowing, weeding, perennial cutbacks, leaf removal services, Spring and Fall clean-ups and much more! All of our team members hold all necessary pesticide and fertilizer certifications and are trained in each applicable category.

Hardscaping & Pavers

Hardscapes have become a popular addition to outdoor living spaces. Garner Exteriors has experience using many different brands of pavers, permeable pavers, natural stone, brick, manufactured stone and concrete. We have multiple crews that are experienced in building patios, walkways, retaining walls, segmental walls, fireplaces or fire pits, staircases and much more. In some cases, the application of hardscapes may be for enjoyment (patio) or it may be necessary for structural purposes (retaining walls). Our skilled teams build these hardscapes piece by piece following all critical manufacturer specifications to ensure your hardscape is built to last.

Water Features

Ponds, fountains, waterfalls, streams, dry creek beds and more have become a popular part of landscape architecture recently. They add tranquility and relaxation to any yard. Garner Exteriors can design, install and maintain many different types of water features from infinity waterfalls, bubbling fountains or even your very own Koi pond. Garner Exteriors’ ultimate goal is to help your backyard dreams come to life. In doing so, we can help you design a living space that fulfills all your dreams and desires. We specialize in transforming bare pieces of land into inviting oasis’ to share with your family and friends. We perform and manage entire projects from start to finish and have maintenance services available once the project is complete. Outdoor kitchens, pools and spas, outdoor pavilions, pergolas and arbors, decks, fencing, gazebos, fireplaces or fire pits, seating and/or eating areas with outdoor televisions and speakers, sport courts (tennis, basketball, putting greens, etc) are just some of the many elements we incorporate into our builds.

So, as this became a popular request, Garner Exteriors has expanded its range of services to include installing and renovating in-ground pools or spas. Irrigation

Tired of seeing brown, dry grass? Garner Exteriors not only can design an irrigation system that is efficient in your yard, we can also install and maintain that system all year round. We offer full-service contracts to include Spring start-ups and Fall winterizations, as well as, all repairs and/or seasonal adjustments that need to be made throughout the growing season. We are experienced in working on existing systems, old systems, systems running on well water, systems running on city water and every system in between. Every irrigation system is different because no two landscapes are the same so you can trust that we will customize your system to efficiently maintain your site’s specific needs.

Snow Removal

Garner Exteriors performs snow and ice removal services to commercial accounts throughout the MD/DC/VA region. Utilizing our experience, equipment, and weather service we develop snow management plans based on each storm. We are in constant communication with our property managers and provide prompt service before, during and after a storm. We are a proud member of SIMA (Snow and Ice Management Association) and have built a strong network of resources so we are prepared for each and every storm Mother Nature sends our way.

Landscape Design

Garner Exteriors’ team of designers will work with you to bring all your dreams to life. We start by meeting with the homeowner to determine their ultimate goals and visions. Next, we complete a site analysis to evaluate topography, determine any and all obstacles we might encounter including existing structures, permitting processes, etc. Finally, we develop a master plan taking into account all of those critical details. We also offer 3D design services which helps homeowners visualize what the plan will look like as it comes to life. Along with our design services, we also offer project management services to keep tasks on track and within budget from start to finish. We pride ourselves in the ability to work in teams with other contractors or vendors to bring a whole project together from concept to completion.

Landscape Lighting

Let Garner Exteriors light up your life with landscape lighting that will allow you to enjoy your yard both day and night. Low voltage lighting can serve multiple purposes from enhancing the architecture of your home or business to providing increased security by lighting walkways or doorways. We have experience designing and installing various brands of low voltage lighting including utilizing the new LED and Bluetooth technologies. Whether it be bullet lights, path lights, up lighting or down lighting we have experience with all different applications.

Holiday Decorations

Garner Exteriors enjoys helping spread holiday cheer by offering services to decorate the exterior of your home or business for any holiday! Whether it be lights, wreaths, garland, inflatables, or lighting displays we will set up and take down all your decorations so all you have to do is enjoy them! With the use of our mechanical lift, we are able to light up even the tallest trees. Now you may think this only applies to Christmas but that is not the case! We have done Fall displays to include pumpkins and cornstalks and we have also lit up buildings in specific colors in the dedication to different causes.
